Summary: The SpouseWorks program delivers individualized career support to military spouses by exploring their career interests, finding education and financial assistance opportunities, developing career plans, and connecting them to employment opportunities. Career Advisors support military spouses through the Military OneSource SpouseWorks Program Contract by connecting them with academic and employment opportunities.

Duties: Work in a fast-paced contact center supporting military spouses. Receive calls via live hand-off and incoming live chats. Assess spouses' needs and give individualized Government-approved resources. Provide education and career advising: online and distance education and training options, financial assistance resources, Federal, state and local occupational licensing, credentialing information. Schedule career coaching appointments. Help with website access for SpouseWorks programs. Help run a Department of Defense military spouse scholarship program. Maintain the case management system, spouse profiles and scholarship accounts.

Shift: call center hours Monday-Friday 7:00 AM-10:00 PM EST and Saturday 10:00 AM-5:00 PM EST; schedule set by the Advisor Services Lead.

Required: Bachelor's degree AND 4+ years of in-depth educational, career or employment advising or coaching to diverse adult populations. 3 years of training development and delivery, public speaking, group presentation and facilitation. 2 years supervising or overseeing delivery of social services and/or education programs. U.S. Citizenship (government systems access). Broadband home internet. Strong technology and research skills. Full-time training schedule for the first 6-8 weeks.

Preferred: certification through NAWDP, NBCC or NCDA; contact center or educational service operations experience; former Military, Military Spouse or Veteran; structured set schedules; building rapport in a remote setting.
